The Fictional Guy of the Week: Dmitri Whatever-his-last-name-is.

This week's second Fictional Guy of the Week (because I missed last week) is Dmitri!!!

Location: Anastasia

His Story:

We don't really know about Dmitri. He worked in the Tzar/Czar/Tsar's palace when he was a little boy. We don't know anything about his family or where he came from or how he got an American accent growing up in Russia.

We do know that he's a conman and that he's willing to lie to a Grand duchess or empress or whatever she is and bring her a fake granddaughter. He just happened to stumble upon the real thing. That's a lucky break for him right?

So he found that actual Anastasia and he has to escort her from St. Petersburg, Russia to Paris, France with his comrade Vlad, some fat guy who actually has a Russian (sort of) accent. There are adventures as they try to avoid, unknowningly, the evil doings of Rasputin who is banished to the underworld. Yadda yadda yadda.

The good news is that they make it to Paris, Anastasia remembers stuff, and her grandmother gets her long lost granddaughter back. And after defeating Rasputin in the creepy gardens, Dmitri and Anastasia end up dancing on a boat floating down the river through Paris. Yay! Happy ending! They love each other!

Why He's FGW:

A few days ago, an anonymous friend of mine and I were talking about attractive cartoon guys. Yes, they exist... albeit rarely. Dmitri from Anastasia made our list. That's one reason why I picked him.

Also, I like that Dmitri is all confidence and such but he's really bad at "schmoozing" Anya. His charm just doesn't seem to work on her. But he wins her anyway! Woot! He saves her life and he gets her reunited with her only remaining family.

Okay, so I'm not a huge fan of the whole "con-man" thing but I over look it because he has many good qualities. He can keep his cool. He cares about his friends. He's willing to give up the thing he wanted most, the 1 million rubles, to give Anya her family. He walked away even when he didn't want to. Go Dmitri!

So let's have a shout out for my FGW, Dmitri!!!

The Fictional Guy of the Week: Junior Davis

[Author's Confession: Lately I've been pretty obsessed with a show that used to play on ABC Family so I couldn't stop myself from making the best thing on the show my FGW. Enjoy and don't judge me too harshly.]

And the Fiction Guy of the Week is... Junior Davis!

Location: ABC Family's WILDFIRE

His Story:

Technically his name is Kenneth Davis Jr but in the show he is called Junior. 

He's a spoiled rich kid. He drives a Porsche. His dad, Ken Davis Sr, has one of the biggest racing stables in California. Pretty much, Junior has a pretty nice life and he's a semi-decent guy. We should be annoyed by him... but somehow he comes off as endearing and charming. I mean, compared to the other guy in the show, Matt Ritter, Junior has it made and doesn't really have a care in the world.

As the series goes, Junior grows up and learns how to stand on his own two feet. He falls in love with the girl next door that lives on the Ritter farm, Kris Furillo, who dumps him. He leaves home, runs a club, loses the club, returns home to help run Davis Farms, tries his hand at bull riding, then he's back to running the farm. Oh and his best friend ends up dating his ex-girlfriend with whom he is still in love with.  By the end of the series, Junior is well off running his own company along with helping his dad run Davis Farms. And he finally lands the girl, Kris, and marries her. Yay!

Why He's FGW:

As I said at the very beginning, I've been pretty obsessed with this show for the last couple of weeks. (Thankfully, that's worn off a lot by now.) And I really "fell" hard for Junior. I think that despite that fact that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth he became a really great, genuine guy. He does have flaws as do all men but he's done a lot to overcome them.

I really just like him. He makes this show worth watching in my opinion.
